From January to March 2022  real estate was sold in Cyprus for 1.27 billion euros

In the first quarter of 2022, 5.258 real estate purchase/sale transactions were completed in the Republic of Cyprus for a total amount of 1.272 billion euros. “As expected, the biggest amount of sales came from Limassol and Nicosia. At the same time, other areas of the island are also showing positive sales dynamics” said the Cyprus Property Registration Board.

According to records of the Land Registry Department, there is a huge interest in buying land, perhaps as an alternative source of investment, the council explains.

The interest of potential buyers to purchase apartments is growing. In all regions of the country, with the exception of Paphos, more apartments than houses were sold from January to March.
